Developed a successful chain of food stores over a 15 year period, before selling his business to the Co-Op in 2004. In conjunction with his involvement with Phoenix, Howard also operates a number of business’s in Shropshire, including a wine wholesalers, a small group of deli’s, and a pharmacy business! His contribution to Phoenix is his broad business background and love of all things Italian, combined with non too shabby a palate. He is a family man, and loves nothing more than walking Elsa the chocolate labrador through the Welsh hills near his home with the rest of his brood.

Jim Watson - Sales
With a wealth of experience in the wine trade, which began back in the 1970’s with Greenalls, and included almost 3 decades at Boutinot (where Howard and Jim first met). Known for his passion of great wine, but equally (and unusually) his totally honest opinion on all wines – whatever their origin. Jim brings a wealth of experience, and broad knowledge of the trade, to the Phoenix table. You’ll just have to excuse those terrible jokes that Jim tells as only Jim can!

For her sins, Sian has been involved with a number of Howard’s business's over the years  - so evidently a glutton for punishment! Over 15 years of experience in the trade, Sian manages all customer invoicing and payments, and has a natural flair for marketing. A little gem!
